Why can’t we say exactly what we mean? Instead of always speaking cryptically. Put some words together that mean anything, before you tell me again that I’m wrong. I’m wrong. The dim lit streets illuminated things I wouldn’t have seen. I’m glad that you were here with me. I don’t know exactly where you should go but when we get home, I’d rather be left alone. I’ve got cold feet from sleeping without sheets. If you were me we would have missed everything.

Rentative 01:44
My car broke down two weeks ago and still isn't fixed. You won't lend me the money to get it repaired. And I know you're my brother's only other friend, but I don't think it'll work out in the end. Cause you won't talk together and I can't afford the rent and that's what it takes to be my friend. And I can't talk forever and I won't pay the rent and that's all you'll get when you're my friend.
3.
Can someone tell me why I can't make up my mind. All those questions with past time hide in your eyes. We both know, we both know you're up to something. When your eyes open underwater it's a familiar feeling. With those questions still unanswered I'm still believing. I'll never breathe again.
4.
Sleep 03:45
I pull down the shades. Hide myself from a busy city street. I don’t want anyone to see me. Every day is the same routine, no matter how much I talk about making a change. Don’t fall asleep on me. I still need you here. Don’t fall asleep. I still need you here. When even sitting on the steps makes me sick. I think I need to get some help to help me get over this. So boring, never interesting it’s killing me slowly. Yeah, it’s killing me slow. And I’ve really let myself go. When you’re suffering, imagine how I must be feeling.

Oil and water don’t mix all that well. Rainbows on the pavement, my heart starts to swell. While you’re talking about your brand new apartment, going on and on about how home is where the heart is. I know you’re just trying to say what you think needs to be said but I don’t know how to tell you how little I care. So, for me when you’re quiet, it’s a beautiful thing. And I know it’s hard to last longer than summer when winter comes in with its cold dead fingers but, don’t walk away we can make this last forever. Just hold onto me, you keep me together. Don’t walk away.

You don't have to be discouraged, but you choose to live your life that way. And when I asked you to meet me at the place we both knew, you didn't want to ride with me. I know I can't make you do what you don't want to, but there will be a time when I wish I could. And if you don't listen then I'll have to deal with it, but there will be a time when I'm wishing you would. And all those lies hide in your eyes we both know how you're doing without me.

Wild Card 03:06
You know I can't stand to see your tears. Still you have no reason to fear me. So, I'll just stay at home and let you fail all alone. All alone. And if you knew what I'd do to you it would scare you like it scares me.

about

We recorded 'Dim' in April of 2014 in Springdale Arkansas. There is not a word big enough to describe how grateful we are for Nick Futch housing us and recording these songs over the 4 days we got to spend with him. We hope you like the songs and we look forward to seeing you at our shows.

Thanks for listening.
